Abstract

This research proposes a method of registration for reconstruction of various positions of a large
object based on a static structured light pattern.
The system combines the technology of stereo vision, structured light pattern, the positioning
system of the vision sensor and an algorithm that simplifies the process of finding correspondence
for the modeling 3D of large objects.

A new structured light pattern based on Kautz sequence is proposed, using this pattern as static
implement a proposed new registration method.
Compared to the ICP algorithm, this method of registration is fast and suitable for all types of
objects. Compared with the method register of sun eliminates the need to insert in each position of
the flat grid reconstruction.

Some experimental results are presented to demonstrate the proposal.
The results show that data were acquired high resolution of 3D objects that are large and suitable
registered.
